Dr. Aytuğ Büyükatak

Dr. Aytuğ Büyükatak completed his mandatory one-year legal internship under the supervision of the President of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and received his LL.M. degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam. After serving as a legal advisor to a state-owned petroleum distribution company in Ankara, he moved to Istanbul and joined a law firm ranked by Legal500. He has been practicing law since 2009.

Dr. Aytuğ Büyükatak primarily advises individual and corporate clients from the Gulf region on real estate investments in Turkey. His areas of expertise include real estate acquisitions, project development structuring, and zoning matters. He has been involved in nearly all real estate transactions handled by our firm. He represents numerous high-profile individuals and family-owned companies from the Gulf region, including major shareholders and board members. In the past two years alone, the total value of the real estate acquisition transactions he has handled has exceeded USD 500 million.

He holds a doctoral degree with a dissertation titled “Transfer and Limitation of Management and Representation Authorities in Joint Stock Companies.” He leads the investment consultancy practice at our firm and serves as lead counsel in merger and acquisition transactions. He is currently advising on two separate mergers and acquisitions transactions with a total value of approximately USD 200 million.

Dr. Aytuğ Büyükatak also serves as a lecturer at Yeditepe University, where he teaches real estate law courses to LL.M. and Ph.D. students.

He is a member of The Hague Academy of International Private Law and also a congress member of Fenerbahçe Sports Club.
